2012 Year Review

As we all have to say ‘goodbye’ to the 2012 and greet the forthcoming 2013, here at Hitch-Hikers’ Handbook we’ve decided to make a little summary of our first year as travel bloggers!

Hitch-Hikers’ Handbook was launched on 18th March 2012. Since then we have:

  • written 102 posts
  • been visited 59,150 times by people from 143 countries
  • got over 1000 “likes” on our blog
  • been awarded a “Blog of the Week” award by Wanderlust Travel Magazine
  • run 22 Travel Photography Competitions
  • been promoted on Freshly Presses and The Daily Post
  • had our beautiful logo made by a couple of professional graphic designers
  • had our first interview by orbitorun.pl
  • been featured on BBC News, BBC Mundo, Yahoo Travel, La Vanguardia, Wanderlust, Travelfish and many more.
  • had our first Hitch-Hikers’ Handbook postcards printed
  • Managed to gather 375 blog followers, 63 Twitter followers and 1401 wonderful friends on Facebook.
