Travel Photography Competition – week 28

Hello all and thank you for joining us again for week 28 of our Travel Photography Competition in which we share the three most popular photos sent by enthusiastic snappers from around the globe. This week all entries were published on our Facebook page between the 1st and 7th January 2013.

The first winner this week is a beautiful seascape taken on Cala d’Hort beach on the western seaboard of the Spanish island of Ibiza. The beach, which is popular with body-boarders overlooks the stunning rock island of Es Vedrà and is part of Cala d’Hort Nature Reserve.

This stunning shot was sent by Carmen Villar Rivas a resident of Ibiza who originally hails from the Basque Country.

Our next winning photograph was taken in Bhaktapur, Nepal and simply blew us away. Bhaktapur is an ancient Nawar town on the eastern edge of the Kathmandu valley. Lying in an important trade route between Tibet and China, this temple laden town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

And last, but by no means least, our third and final winner this week is another seascape, this time from Chiclana de la Frontera in the south of Spain. Located just 20km from Cádiz, Chiclana de la Frontera is known for its beaches, including the 6m long Playa de la Barrosa.
