Travel Photography Competition – week 32

Welcome to the 32nd edition of our weekly Travel Photography Competition. This week we are reviewing photos sent to our Facebook page by our very talented contributing photographers and published between 1st and 8th February.

The first stunning winner was taken in Chinon, in Loire Valley, France. Château de Chinon, a medieval castle which you can see veiled in mist in this atmospheric picture, is set on the bank of the Vienne river and was founded by Theobald I, Count of Blois in the 10th century. Initially it was only a tower, which later in the 11th century, was rebuilt as a fortress by Henry II Plantagenet, the King of England.
